The objective of Hellas FC is to create thinking soccer players. We achieve this by employing a guided discovery methodology where players are presented with game realistic situations, and guided to solve the problems themselves. This approach enhances their decision making capabilities, and most importantly, understanding WHY a particular option is better than the rest.
The practices are logical and progressive, we will work on an area of the game until satisfied the players have gained the appropriate knowledge to utilize the acquired skill in a game situation.
The soccer academies aim is to create a safe and secure learning environment where players are encouraged to try new things and be creative. Mistakes are managed rather than criticized and it is important that the challenges are difficult but not unobtainable. The emphasis rises with age from the purely technical to the tactical; our goal is to fulfill every player potential. This is not a one way street. We require that each player participating in the academy gives 100% effort every session, behaves in a respectful manner and completes any homework given. Only in this way can we achieve our mutual goal of creating players capable of moving to the next level.
